I’ve found my perfect moisturisers | Body Shop

For so long I thought I had just straight up dry skin. I’ve tried all kinds of moisturisers that claim stuff that just doesn’t reciprocate onto my face. I began to live with the fact I had crazy dry patches and no blemishes or having to have spots but have no dry patches. Neither of those are fun, let me tell you. I tended to opt for having dry skin, because when my skin breaks out it’s always those really painful ones that never amount to anything but should really be paying rent. TMI? Dad Joke? Good start.

My Husband Explains the Purpose of Makeup

The idea from this post came from Buy Now Blog Later. When I read her post I literally laughed out loud, like actually LOL’d.

It’s simple – list out a series of beauty products and then sit back and listen to the perception of their purpose. Or in our case, I’ll let him fill it in himself, I won’t comment and won’t help in any way.

Chris has actually tried to do my makeup so could potentially have a head start but lets see.

Primark Brow Kit Review

Primark Eyebrow Kit ReviewThrowing it out there, my brows are sisters not twins. On a previous post I actually said I was at the awkward growing out stage of my eyebrows, which turns out it was actually around 9 months ago! I’m a lot happier with them, but we’re still working on being pals.

That’s where this brow kit comes in. Let’s just say I’m shocked. I’m never one to spend ALOT on make up, usually as I can’t justify the price to myself. If I’m buying make-up for myself it’s going to be highstreet and Primark’s highstreet, right?

Anyway, the kit comes with a gel (which I’ve dabbled with but I’m not going to lie I’m a bit scared of), a light “brown” shadow and a deeper brown shadow. You can clearly tell which one I’ve used the most of!

Primark has just got it so right, for £2! Whoever makes these/selected the colours/decided to ever have a make up range in Primark needs a pat on the back and a high five! The shade I use, lets call it dark brown, is the perfect shade for anyone with brunette hair. It’s quite pale on first swipe but my first swipes are usually a general shape. Then when it’s filled in you can build it to an everyday, an evening or a special occasion brow. They’re all different, okay!

Not speaking from experience obviously but I’m pretty sure the light brown would be good for people with blonde-ish hair too.

Left to Right; Gel, Light “Brown”, Dark Brown

I can’t say much for the tweezers as I haven’t actually tried them, but the tweezers I use are from Primark, so that’s always a good sign. I sound like a walking ad for Primark oops!

I use my real techniques brow brush to apply it and it’s so easy, definitely one to add to your collection if you don’t already have it. Paired with Rimmel eyebrow gel to set my brows in place. My brows stay put all day and we’re becoming friends more so now just because of this product!

Are there any other Primark beauty finds you think I should try?

FOTD #5 – My Daily Face

Daily Make-up -’s been a while since I’ve done an updated Daily Make-up routine. Looking back at my previous one I didn’t realise how much my make up has changed and how much I’ve actually bought (sorry not sorry) and that I’ve got better (please don’t tell me I haven’t, you’ll make me sad).

Base – Benefit B.Right! Triple Performing SPF moisturiser
The only moisturiser I’ve found that doesn’t end up breaking me out, but gives me baby soft skin!
MUA Pro Base Primer
A cheapy but a goody. I’m pretty sure they’ve discontinued this. Why does that always happen?!

Face – Mac Studio Fix NW10
I almost bought NW20 online but popped in to buy some mascara and got colour matched. That would have been awkward. I’ve only been using this around 2 weeks, but so far so good!
Face – Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent
The best, simple as.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
The best concealer I’ve ever tried, but I’m preaching to the choir. Everyone knows how good this is, right?
Collection Gorgeous glow 1. Blush Block
This is a slightly highlighting blush, the perfect amount of pink!
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I’m obsessed, I asked Chris to get me the personalised one for christmas and I swear by it now!
MUA Undress your skin highlighter
£3 for a highlighter and it’s the prettiest shade, I love it!

Brows – Primark Brow Kit
What a bargain this was! It’s everything I want in a brow product.
Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel in Clear
A happy replacement from my H&M one, makes my brows stay put!

Eyes – Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadow in On And On Bronze
I find this works on any day, want to put more effort in? Perfect base. Want to be simple. Simple All over shade. I love it! A staple in my make up bag!
Urban Decay Naked Palette
I tend to mix and match these shadows, no 2 days are the same. I love sidecar and darkhorse together though!
Benefit Roller Lash
Always and forever, I love it!

And a trusty eos on my lips!
