When you feel pretty, take selfies

I’m all for girls with body confidence, self confidence and just all round confidence. Unfortunately I’m not one of those. I’m the kind of girl that if I like a selfie that I’ve taken it goes everywhere I need a profile picture, just me?

Ignore Chris in the background with his silly vest top tan (clearly sunburn..) but we sat down to film a YouTube video and I felt pretty, I felt like my hair co-operated even though it didn’t and I liked my make up. So, I took pictures of myself. Vain, nope. I believe if you feel nice, document it. It reminds you, that not everyday is a bad skin day and not everyday do you feel gross.I’m not happy in my own skin, but I was happy right at this moment and that’s good!
I also really love my jumpsuit and this lip look 🙂

This is the video we filmed but be warned, I wasn’t feeling very pretty by the end of it.

What was the best part of your day?

Now, this is going to be short and sweet because otherwise it will get too deep.

Recently, we got some life-changing pretty bad news and in a way it’s made us realise what is important and what really isn’t. It’s also taught me specifically that you need to enjoy the little things in everyday. No matter how bad your day is/was, something will have at the very least made you smile.

Just a little example, Chris and I were in the worst routine, not unusual for us (oops). So we went to our local seaside to watch the sunrise. It was so peaceful and it was so lovely to just sit, chat and just relax.

FOTD #4 | Natural Everyday

Excuse the mess in the background haha! We were in a hotel room in London.

So just a quick one to show what my “daily” everyday make up is at the moment.

Base – Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation in Ivory
The palest shade, sob sob. I love this foundation, it blends perfectly. Even on my dry skin! I’d say it’s light to medium coverage but covers problem areas really well.

Face – Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent
In simple terms, it makes my make up stay put!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
The palest shade again. You probably know how good this concealer is so I won’t bore you.
Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in Peach Melba
A perfect subtle shade!
Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder Peaux Claires/ Medianes 51
Once again, the palest haha! It’s not my favourite but it’s the only one that doesn’t make me look orange. So if you’ve got any suggestions for me please let me know!

Eyes – Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara in Medium Brown
I’m at the awkward stage of shaping and growing out my eyebrows but this majorly tames them but also defines! If you haven’t already, try it!
W7 Automatic Fine Eyeliner Pen in Black
An eyeliner that doesn’t budge! I love that the tip is really small so even for eyeliner fails like me it’s actually really easy to get a thin line that just slightly defines. I laaave it.
Benefit Roller Lash
I feel like there’s a lot of mixed reviews on this but it’s my favourite. I have naturally quite curly lashes so I think that might be why it works so well.

And just lip balm on my lips, or a browny nude lipstick.

What’s your go-to nude lip?
