I think it’s fair to say that none of us were expecting the first half of 2020 to go like this; were we?
My plans for a lovely start to my Maternity leave were well and truly scuppered when lockdown kicked in about 8 weeks into it.
But with restrictions easing, we can now plan for the second half of the year!
What do i want to do in 2020?
First off, get me out the house!
We’ve already started going a bit further than just around our local area.
We recently spent the day at the Sea Life centre followed by the seaside. It was our first time ever having to prepare multiple bottles out of the house which is an experience in itself 👀
We had a big family holiday planned for June. It was a joint 40th & 50th birthday trip and it would have been Lily’s first holiday. When this got cancelled we were planning a little staycation but then everythaaaang got cancelled!
Now, we are planning on a Villa in spain *fingers crossed* at some time over the next few months.
A Disney trip? 🏰
Going hand in hand with a holiday, hopefully Disneyland Paris will be on the cards!
We are umming and ahhing about driving to spain and having a swing into DLP on the way, but we aren’t sure how we would cope in 20+ degree heat wearing masks.
Failing this, hopefully a Christmas trip, as this is our favourite time to visit anyway. It’s our little tradition.
2020 Weightloss Goals
My postpartum weight loss has been going really well. I’m really pleased with how I’ve stuck with it and my confidence is coming back. I post my meals on instagram if you’d like any ideas.
I can’t deny I enjoyed eating anything *cough* share bags of pickled onion monster munch *cough* and everything I wanted to when I was pregnant but it’s nice to feel nice, isn’t it?
We will be starting to wean Lily soon so it helps that we are already in a routine of cooking healthy foods so it’ll feel easier to add another little person into the mix. Still terrifying though!
Making some Mum and baby friends
Missing out on baby groups has meant we’ve missed out on coffee dates and socialising our little one. Groups near us haven’t opened yet but I’m hoping by the end of 2020 we will have at least managed to get to a few!
Do you have any plans for the rest of the year?
