I think it’s safe to say that every man and his dog binge watched Tiger King on Netflix at the beginning of this year.
Whether or not you walk around the house singing a song about Carol Baskin is your business…
But I thought I’d share some more binge worthy Netflix programmes that I loved as well!
Breaking Bad – Netflix
Breaking Bad was my first love of binge watching. Truly. Nothing has every managed to fill that Walter White shaped gap in my life.
We would stay up until 5am just to finish watching a season on Netflix!
It’s about a man who is dying, wants to earn money to protect and leave for his family so turns to making drugs. His Brother in Law is a drugs agent for the police and the cartel are involved too. There are so many twists and turns of the plot that you can’t just sit and watch one episode at a time.
Maybe slightly controversial but El Camino DID NOT do Breaking Bad justice.
Selling Sunset – Netflix
I know a lot of people are now jumping on the Selling Sunset bandwagon. Where were you when we had to wait a year for season two?!
Selling Sunset is Netflix’s answer to a hybrid of The Hills & Homes under the Hammer!
It has all the DRAMA of The Hills with some casual million dollar houses up for sale in Los Angeles.
You get to see inside wildly expensive mansions and contemplate how you could pick your life up and move to America at the drop of a hat because the commision they are on, WOWZA, I’d like me some of that please
Good Girls – Netflix
I saw someone describe this as ‘if Breaking Bad was all women, what would be different?‘ and I was SOLD!
It’s similar in that there are twists and turns around every corner. The women are doing all they can to protect and provide for their families.
I can’t describe this one too much without giving the whole story away; but hiiiiighly recommend you give it a watch
Also, can we have season 3 now please Netflix?
Jane the Virgin – Netflix
Oh Jane the Virgin, how I love you!
This is very Ugly Betty esque in the sense of you really fall in love with all of the characters. You think you have a favourite and then you get thrown a massive curve ball!
The brief storyline is about a woman called Jane who goes into her Dr for a pap-smear and ends up getting artificially inseminated and ends up pregnant.
Her baby daddy ends up being a very rich hotel owner. There is cartel involved, lies and craaaazy plot twists that you just really don’t see coming
I kind of wish I’d never watched it so that I could watch it for the first time again haha
60 Days In – Netflix
I’m pretty sure we found out about this while we were on holiday in America. It’s kind of what it says on the tin, ‘contestants‘ of the show go into a real life prison for 60 Days.
The Sheriff sends them in with a job to do. Sometimes it’s to see how contraband is getting into the jail, others it is to find out if the officers are doing their job fairly.
There are now 6 Seasons, but only one on Netflix (why Netflix?! 💔)
You can bet we got a VPN and watched all of the others! The later the seasons get; the crazier the prisons and prisoners are!
Is there a Netflix show you love that you can’t believe not everyone has watched?
