Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

I thought I’d put together a little Mother’s Day Gift Guide as I was having a gander around to see what I could get for my own Mum and my Mother in Law and realised just how difficult buying for people that neverΒ want anything. I was ideally looking for little things that would make their lifes a bit cosier or add a little bit of luxe to their lives πŸ’πŸ» (because who doesn’t want either if not both).

Let’s start off with this beaut copper plant stand. Now I’ll admit this seems a bit pricey for what it is, but paired with a faux IKEA plant (here, here or here) or even a real one this is an all round lovely gift. My Mother in Law is opposed to a bunch of flowers as ‘they die after two weeks’, which is fair, but especially filled with a faux plant I don’t even think she could complain.

Pj’s are an easy staple as a present. Gift bag them up with a new pair of slippers for her or some cosy socks and jobs a good’un. I’d even go as far as a face mask, an aptly named nail varnish, a mini bottle of wine and some chocolate for a mini pamper night pack.

I found this lovely Pandora Charm which I personally think is the thing I love the most on this list. It’s a little more luxury and the most expensive thing on the list however I also think it’d make such a sentimental gift too. Add this sweet little jewellery dish for that little bit extra.

Now, My Mum is a keen knitter. She loves her little knitting club and she seems to have wool coming out of her ears. I found this knitting needle bag on Not on the Highstreet. I know not everyone’s Mums are as buzzing to knit as mine is, but there are so many personalised pieces on NOTH for such reasonable prices.

The last three bits on this gift guide are go-tos for just about anyone. I’ll admit perfume is a scary one for me, I’m always worried about someone hating it. This Viktor & Rolf BonBon Mini Fragrance Gift Set is perfect for those situations as it’s a couple of minis all nicely packaged up. Handy little side tip; if they end up loving it then their next birthday or Christmas present is sorted!Β You’re welcome.

I know I mentioned that Chris’ Mum isn’t one for flowers (she’s not ungrateful, she’s just not a fan lol) but my Mum is. She’s got vases coming out of her ears and would be so happy with this Marksies Mother’s Day Bouquet. They’re also perfect if you’re not going to be around to see her on Mother’s Day as they’re specially delivered which I think is a bit more special regardless πŸ˜‚. You can add a little note in with them too!

Lastly, some see it as a cop out. But if you’re really struggling or your Mum has a specific thing they’d like a bit of money towards something they’ve had their eye on then a Gift Card is a great gift. M&S have some lovely designs and of course you can put however much you’d like to on it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m basically a old lady now but I love a gift card or a snuggly pair of socks these days!
