Travel Makeup Essentials

I’m one for overpacking, I’m not even going to deny it. My mum was always one of those “better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it” mums. I think I may live like that in everyday life too ?. Even when I pack for a one night stay I’ve usually got at least 3 outfits ‘just incase‘.

The same goes for my makeup. But, what if I need it. As we’re planning to travel more this year I only need a set few things. You don’t need everything Helen. You can do without that 3rd eyeshadow pallette (an actual conversation I had with my husband). I’m trying to limit myself.

My Travel Makeup Essentials

Mac Studio Fix – My favourite foundation, I love you Mac for making shades that actually match my pale, pale skin!

Collection Concealer – Everyone knows about this, It concealers a number of sins and also is a very easy undereye highlighter

Primark Eyeshadow Kit – You’ll know by my review that I love this. An absolute bargain product that does wonders for my brow game.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I use this to contour and it’s the perfect shade for my skin tone. The brush also has my name on which pleases me, ALOT.

Original Naked Palette – I can create so many looks with this. Day & Night, I need to remind myself of this. I really don’t need another palette with me on a week or less trip!

Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner – A new product in my bag after my sister introduced me to it. And a sturdy favourite

Benefit Roller Lash – My ultimate babe. I love love love this mascara. I don’t use any others as I’ve not found anything that even comes close

A couple of lipsticks – I usually opt for a bold and a neutral. I usually take my MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in the colour Atomic & Mac lip liner in Whirl. Both are easy day and night lips.

A dirty Real Techniques blending sponge at the side there. It’s changed my life, makes my foundation flawless and if you don’t have one you need one! Sorry for not cleaning it though.

  • I am so bad at over packing too! I think “just in case” is my most used phrase haha. I loved this blog post! Even if I try not to wear any makeup, I still feel I need foundation and powder – so they would be my must have items! xx

I feel like I’ve not properly done my makeup if I skip foundation! xx

  • I totally overpack with makeup – although not so badly now as I’ve discovered a couple of ‘do it all’ palettes that I love! Foundation, eyeliner and mascara are my TOTAL must-haves for travel!

Adore Benefit Hola Bronzer, always need that on my face. If I was to take one thing, have to be a lip product, as long as my lips are done – happy me!
