Mocktails have become a summer staple for me since an accidental order of mocktails instead of cocktails on our honeymoon. I don’t neccessarily enjoy alcohol, probably because I’m not always a fan of the taste. I also always somehow end up being designated driver! Not sure how that always happens.
Anyway, after having the opportunity to create a healthy summer drink with Eat Clean Tea Matcha Powder* I jumped at the chance. I’m still on my health kick, 5 months and still going strong. Summer is the one thing that breaks me. There is too much temptation to eat bad things and drink too much bad stuff. My challenge this summer is not to fall back into that trap. If you’re looking for a healthy alternative or even just looking for a really nice Summer drink then this one is definitely for you. And a big bonus, it’s extremely simple!
The Mocktail – Makes Two
4 scoops of Eat Clean Tea mint matcha*, or follow recipe
500ml Boiling Water (you may need a little more)
2 Tablespoon of Lime Juice
1 or 2 Teaspoons of Honey – Optional
A cup or two of ice
A few mint leaves
A couple of slices of lime – to garnish
1 – Mix up the Matcha with the boiling water and make sure to give it a good old mix to get rid of all the lumps.
2 – Add the Honey and Lime Juice, stir again until it’s all mixed well
3 – Pour over the ice and add the lime slices & mint leaves
Make it all fancy by adding slices of lime to the glass & pretty straws!
It’s as easy as that! Three steps and a simple & lovely kind of virgin mojito. So refreshing for Summer Days & perfect for BBQ Nights!
