Simple Smokey Eye & W7 Review

Playing around with make-up is in my opinion the best way to test it. Although this sounds simple, when testing things such as eye make-up I feel like you should be able to go for ANY look, simple or more bold and that’s the best way to test such things as mascara and eyeshadows.

As I have a black-tie event coming up and I am planning on doing a gold/brown/bronze smokey eye in some form, this was the look I chose to go for, I can’t be the only one to plan ahead and practice with make-up?IMG_0947PicMonkey CollageIMG_0953

The Palette

As you can see from the above pictures, the eyeshadows in the 10 out of 10 browns palette seem very chalky and powdery, it seems the more you use of them though, it becomes a creamy texture? I’m not sure why though lol! I love the colours in this palette, as much as you can love brown, the camera really doesn’t do justice to the bronze and gold pearlescent ones, which are by far my favourite! I can’t believe for less than £6 you can get 10 eyeshadows with this much pigment. There is a very light one which is perfect for transition shade or a brow highlight. I love using this palette, each shadow blends so effortlessly, the only thing that’s a bit of a let down is the fact it is quite powdery.

Absolute Lashes

Now, Im going to be honest I’m really not a fan of plastic wands, I feel they just don’t disperse product as effectly as fibre ones, and don’t allow you to “wiggle” as you apply. This mascara is slightly different, it seems to have longer spikes (if that’s the right terminology?) coming off the wand which allows a lot more “wiggle” room. This would be perfect for everyday but not for night time or bold make-up looks. I will definitely be using this on days where I just want a little something. I also love that  the packaging looks kind of like benefits, they’re real mascara.

Automatic Fine Eye Liner

Oh my! Just wow! If you’re anything like me and fail to do any form of thin line on your top lid you NEED this in your life. With the slightest bit of pressure, you will get a gorgeous black line, without having to repeatedly go over it. Without sounding weird, the felt tip is sooo soft! It actually feels so nice to put this on, like silky smooth. Weird moment over. Anyway, 100% once I run out of this, I’m going to have to repurchase, even my flicks matched!

Have you tried any of the W7 products? Is there anything you’d recommend trying?

I’ve never heard of absolute lashes before, I thought it was benefit at first, haha!

I’ve never tried W7 before but I’ve seen them around a bit on amazon, I think they do a few of the Naked palette dupes.
