I’d had my eye on Le Manoir de Beaumarchais for a while now, after spotting it as a hotel close to Disneyland. When Chris decided last minute that we were going on a eurotrip, I agreed, but only if we stayed here. I’m quite clearly easily pleased. After a day at Disney, imagine driving up to this view! It’s literally a castle. I felt like I was in my very own Disney fairytale.
We’d only just pulled up when a lovely lady came outside and greeted us, showed us in and showed us up to our room. She only knew a little English, so bear that in mind if you were to stay here, but we worked around it and it only took us a couple of minutes to get checked and it was pretty simple.
Mocktails have become a summer staple for me since an accidental order of mocktails instead of cocktails on our honeymoon. I don’t neccessarily enjoy alcohol, probably because I’m not always a fan of the taste. I also always somehow end up being designated driver! Not sure how that always happens.
Anyway, after having the opportunity to create a healthy summer drink with Eat Clean Tea Matcha Powder* I jumped at the chance. I’m still on my health kick, 5 months and still going strong. Summer is the one thing that breaks me. There is too much temptation to eat bad things and drink too much bad stuff. My challenge this summer is not to fall back into that trap. If you’re looking for a healthy alternative or even just looking for a really nice Summer drink then this one is definitely for you. And a big bonus, it’s extremely simple!
This recipe is an entry for Eat Clean Tea’s #SummerOfMatcha blogger competition. The matcha was sent to me to for the purpose of this post. All gifted items are marked with *.

Whilst I was in The Body Shop grabbing my new moisturisers I spotted the Camomile Cleansing Butter (I’d call it a balm but whatever). I’m not quite sure how new this is but I’ve only seen a handful of reviews and they’ve all been good, so I picked it up as there was a 3 for 2 offer on.
I’m one for overpacking, I’m not even going to deny it. My mum was always one of those “better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it” mums. I think I may live like that in everyday life too 😂. Even when I pack for a one night stay I’ve usually got at least 3 outfits ‘just incase‘.
The same goes for my makeup. But, what if I need it. As we’re planning to travel more this year I only need a set few things. You don’t need everything Helen. You can do without that 3rd eyeshadow pallette (an actual conversation I had with my husband). I’m trying to limit myself.
Our America Vlogs are all live on YouTube! I’ve finally got around to editing our final vlog from our America Road Trip last year. Don’t shout at me, technology is to blame, promise.
We had the most amazing month, and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat. We’re currently, literally as I write this, seeing if we could go back and do another road trip. It is more likely to be Orlando and that sort of are but knowing Chris another could happen!
For so long I thought I had just straight up dry skin. I’ve tried all kinds of moisturisers that claim stuff that just doesn’t reciprocate onto my face. I began to live with the fact I had crazy dry patches and no blemishes or having to have spots but have no dry patches. Neither of those are fun, let me tell you. I tended to opt for having dry skin, because when my skin breaks out it’s always those really painful ones that never amount to anything but should really be paying rent. TMI? Dad Joke? Good start.
